Mr. J.D-P. was charged with killing the victim while he was tied up for ransom. The State filed an Intent to Seek Death Penalty and the case was prepared for trial. Defense counsels presented sufficient mitigation and argument to convince the State to dismiss their Intent to Seek Death Penalty prior to trial.
