Mr. J.W. was accused of shooting and killing a person during a drug deal. A paid informant who worked for the State was the only witness that could place Mr. J.W. at the scene and as the shooter. After case prep and interviewing the State’s paid informant, the State’s paid informant was proven by the defense to be unreliable and the case was dismissed.
